Junior Staff Accountant

Job Description

Handles day to day accounting functions including but not limited to A/P and A/R:  Daily A/R invoicing, including down payment processing and final invoicing, processing daily cash receipts, tracking customer deposits and clearing them out upon shipment, weekly collection calls, job costing, calculating and processing sales commissions, sales & use tax filings, processing Accounts Payable invoices and weekly check runs, assisting with weekly cash forecasting, assisting with monthly account reconciliations, payroll journal entry processing, backing up reception duties including answering phones, greeting guests and distributing mail

Qualifications

  • 3-4 years experience as an accountant in a fast paced privately held firm
  • Administrative experience – proficient with MS Office applications
  • Experience using any type of Accounting/ERP software
  • Expert in MS Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Mechanical Assemblers

Job Description

Fits and assembles mechanical components to build, construct, rebuild, or repair machines and equipment by performing various duties. These duties include: analyses of assembly blueprints and specifications; plans machine building operations; verifies conformance of parts to stock list and blueprints; reads complex blueprints; assembles drawings and schematic drawings (electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic) to determine work procedures and assembly process; skilled in PLC programming and troubleshooting; lays out hole locations and drills and taps holes on parts for assembly; aligns components for assembly of bolts, screws, dowels, or rivets; understands pneumatic and hydraulic systems; verifies alignment and tolerances of moving parts; tests operation of assembly; assembles, sets-up, and operates machine to verify functioning, machine capabilities, and conformance to customer’s specifications.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of field service experience, preferably from the food machinery, robotics or automated machinery industries.
  • Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC programming as well as the ability to wire a panel code and reading electrical schematics.
  • A two year degree in an applicable field is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with Servo and robotics controls and pneumatics is required.
  • Excellent communication and customer relation skills are essential.

Senior Design Engineers

Job Description

Researches, plans, and designs Colborne Foodbotics, LLC machinery and automation systems to meet  customer specifications.  Also directs and coordinates activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of machinery, including documentation and testing and managing vendor relationships. These duties include: reviewing and helping define all projects with Customer, Sales, Engineering, Production and Service Department; lead staff of engineers and designers to ensure quality product in timely fashion; work with customers and suppliers to provide successful production/packaging solutions; carry out Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Colborne’s policies and applicable laws; responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing customer complaints and resolving problems promptly; develop concepts to solve complex customer system requirements; interpret blueprints and technical concepts; create/modify/update all mechanical drawings from sketches, markups and verbal instructions; perform engineering change documents and drawing revisions; insure drawings’ accuracy and compliance with engineering standards; perform necessary engineering calculations to assure sound detailed designs.

Qualifications

  • 5-10  years of successful experience in Automated Machine and System Design, food related industry a must.
  • Production of mechanical models, detail and assembly drawings using Solidworks
  • Internet expertise a must in order to search for vendor information and investigating new concepts.
  • Experience with MS Office and an inventory management/Bill of Material system.
  • B.S.M.E. or equivalent work experience in the food or food-related industry.
  • Individual’s organization, accuracy and motivation is essential.
